Two Left Feet? No Problem – Line Dancing is Coming to Balboa Park

San Diego Coasters is bringing the boot-scootin’ good times to one of our favorite spots in the city, and this one is wide open to everyone – whether you’ve been line dancing for years or have absolutely no idea what a grapevine step is.

Line Dancing Balboa Park

A Free Night Out With Some Serious Moves

The setup is simple: show up, learn some steps, and have a genuinely great time with a crowd of fellow San Diegans who are all there for the same reason.

San Diego Coasters runs beginner and improver lessons early in the evening, so there’s no pressure if you’re just getting started. By the time the main intermediate lesson kicks off, the energy is fully going.

The Setting Makes it Even Better

The event takes place on the concrete stage at the center of the International Cottages at Balboa Park – one of those tucked-away spots in the park that feels like a little discovery every time.

San Diego Coasters sets up a portable dance floor right over the stage, and with string lights strung up to light the space, the whole scene has a really warm, easy-going vibe.

It’s an outdoor event, so dress for the evening air and bring a layer if you tend to run cold.

A Regular Reason to Get Out of the House

This isn’t a one-off – San Diego Coasters holds this event every Saturday of the month, except the first Saturday. So whether February 28 works for you or you’re penciling in a date further down the road, there are plenty of chances to join in.

Bring a friend or a few, because this is the kind of thing that’s more fun with people. The event is free to attend, and if you’re having a great time – which you likely will be – donations are always welcome and appreciated.

See you there!

Lace up and get out there – this is one of those low-key, high-fun evenings that San Diego does really well.

📆 Every Saturday (except the first Saturday of the month) | 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM
📍 2294 Pan American Plaza, San Diego

See you there, San Diego!
