Springboard West Music Festival Returns To San Diego For Its Fourth Year
Springboard Music Festivals announces its fourth return to San Diego on Jan. 9 – 11. For three days, emerging artists from all over the world, industry professionals and locals gather in Ocean Beach to celebrate the future of music.
A Two-Day “Band Bootcamp”
Springboard West Music Festival begins on Jan. 9 with a two-day “Band Bootcamp” that includes panels, workshops, one-on-one networking and opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their talents in front of veterans and professionals in the music industry. This year, the artists’ mentors include number one hit music songwriter Michèle Vice-Maslin, Guns N’ Roses’ first manager, Vicky Hamilton, and executives who have worked on award winning albums.
Band and Brew Crawl
The event culminates on Jan. 11 with a “Band and Brew Crawl” where participating artists take the insight they’ve received and put on the show of their careers for fans and mentors at Ocean Beach venues and breweries.
“It really feels like we struck gold when we partnered with the Ocean Beach community for this event years ago,” said Founder of Springboard Music Festivals Barry Coffing. “In a world where there is a music festival every weekend, this hip beach town understands what we’re trying to do for independent artists and helps us create. It’s the perfect marriage and it’s only getting bigger.”
Springboard Music Festivals debuted in Memphis in 2019 after years of uber-success in Houston and San Diego. In the past, the festival has mentored and featured over 500 artists and assisted with over 75 career-changing deals including recording, management and publishing contracts.
Tickets can be purchased here. All proceeds go to the event’s partners including Sustainable Artists, San Diego Music Foundation, Pioneer Programs and the Autism Tree Project Foundation.
