San Diego’s Top Chefs Team Up For Pop-up Charity Bake Sale On Sept. 27th
Friendly Feast’s Annual Bake Sale returns this Sunday, September 27th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Born & Raised.
The pandemic-friendly version of the popular bake sale will feature signature goods from six of San Diego’s top pastry chefs and bakers in support of Monarch School, whose mission is educating students impacted by homelessness.
Participating chefs include:
Brenda Gonzalez, Born and Raised
Vivian Hernandez-Jackson, Azucar
Faye Rodriguez, Faye’s Desserts
Rachel King, Kaneh Co.
Rocio Siso Gurriaran, former sous chef, Nine-Ten Restaurant & Bar
Adrian Mendoza, former Executive Pastry Chef, Herb & Wood
Guests can purchase a box of six delicious baked goods with a twist, including sweet potato empanadas, champagne peach scones, mixed berry kouign-amann, and more. Boxes are priced at $35, and is available in advance since Tuesday, September 15th, via the Friendly Feast website for pickup at Born and Raised.
Pickup times will be scheduled in advance to maintain social distancing.
