all out support for the Annual Stand Down

San Diego county is estimated to have 378 unsheltered homeless veterans and 308 sheltered homeless veterans and hundreds more at risk for becoming homeless. VVSD has served the veteran community since 1981 offering transitional and permanent housing, mental health counseling, substance use treatment, and employment and training services. Veteran Stand Down events have been recognized as the “most valuable outreach tool for homeless veterans” by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
