Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters Hosts Its Next Chef’s Table + Enhanced Happy Hour
Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters, the La Jolla Shores sister restaurant to Georges at the Cove, is hosting its next Chef’s Table with Executive Chef Marty Fay and resident Advanced Sommelier Evan Vallee on Thursday, January 26.
Fay is a protégé of local renown chef, Christine Rivera, and founder Trey Foshee. Vallee is one of only about 10 advanced sommeliers in all of San Diego.
Sandpiper Chef’s Table features six-course wine-pairing meal
Whether you’re looking for an intimate and interactive dinner after a day at work or after a day at the Farmer’s Insurance Open at Torrey Pines just up the road, enjoy the six-course wine-pairing meal that is Mediterranean/Italian themed and includes Oyster Duo, Albacore Crudo, Ricotta Ravioli, Olive Oil Poached Halibut, Venison Tender Loin, and Olive Oil Cake for dessert.
The price is $165 and reservations are required here.
Spaces are limited and plenty of street parking is available in addition to Sandpiper’s parking lot.
Sandpiper Happy Hour enhanced!
If you’re simply looking for a drink or two and some bites after watching the golf pros hit shots you can only dream of, Sandpiper recently enhanced its happy hour to $4 off draft beer, wines by the glass, and specialty cocktails and well drinks – up from $2 off.
Happy hour is Wednesday to Sunday from 4PM–5:30PM. Get tips on all drinks from Vallee, who also has a Wine and Spirts Education Trust (WSET) Level 4 diploma. As always, buy a bottle of champagne and get a dozen oysters on the house. Happy hour bites include $4 Baja Fish Tacos and $4 off Classic Cesar Salad, Beef & Pork Meatballs, Crispy Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Wings, Rosemary Parmesan Fries, and more.
