Bleu Bohème Introduces Famille-Style Feasts With Prix Fixe Menus And Private Dining Options

Bleu Bohème, located in Kensington at 4090 Adams Ave., has opened the doors of its Stone Room to special events and private dinners, now available to reserve.

Bleu Bohème’s intimate Stone Room dining allows up to 16 guests to indulge in a six-course famille-style feast. Guests may select dishes, cocktails and wines from a prix fixe menu with the opportunity to add or customize
dishes and drinks.

First course

Upon arrival, guests will be served wines pre-selected from the restaurant’s extensive collection, with signature cocktails available to order at an additional cost.

To complement drink selections, a selection of shareable first course petit plats includes charcuterie with house-made duck pâté, pork terrine de campagne, jambon de Bayonne, garlic sausage, Rosette de Lyon, Spanish chorizo, coppa sausage, pickled vegetables, croûtons, olives and Dijon mustard; a curated selection of imported French cheeses with fig jam and honey; and Sadie Rose French country sourdough loaves and baguettes with sweet butter.

Second course

The second course selections include the choice between:

  • Escargots  “Old School” with garlic, shallots and Pernod
  • Sautéed Gruyère dumplings, cremini mushrooms, French green beans, charred cherry tomatoes, romesco, beurre blanc
  • Brussels sprouts served with butternut squash, house-smoked bacon and apple balsamic vinegar
  • A caramelized Spanish onion tart, bacon, roasted apple, Le Delice du Jura cheese and rocket salad
  • Crab croquettes served with jicama remoulade, tomato-rocket salad and saffron aioli.

A lobster crêpe with mascarpone cheese, jicama remoulade and white truffle-carrot sauce; or roasted Spanish octopus with roasted Yukon gold potatoes and sauce verte, may be ordered for an additional price.

Salads

Salads will be served for the third course, including the choice of butter leaf lettuce tossed with basil shallot vinaigrette, tapenade croûton, Roquefort blue cheese, apples, almonds and market beets; a mix of artisan
greens with goat cheese three ways, mustard vinaigrette, grapes and pear; and roasted beets with clementines, pickled red onions, balsamic vinaigrette, goat cheese croquettes and rocket lettuce.

Fourth course

Guests may share Bleu Bohème’s famous moules frites among the table as a fourth course. Served with pommes frites, black Mediterranean mussels are available in several styles including with Dijon mustard, Roquefort
blue cheese, mushrooms, Portuguese sausage and more.

Entrée selections

Entrée selections include shiitake and oyster mushroom raviolis with ratatouille, spinach, espelette, tomato relish, fines herbes and white wine cream sauce; beef short rib in red wine, mushrooms, house-smoked bacon, carrots, baby potatoes and caramelized pearl onions; among others. Signature dishes such as duck confit, sea scallops with saffron lobster risotto and steak frites are also available to order for an additional cost.

To end the famille-style feasts soirée on a sweet note, choices include a warm brioche bread pudding with caramelized apples, raisins and white chocolate; choux pastry puffs served with vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate sauce; mousse
au chocolat with seasonal berries; and warm gingerbread with strawberry confiture and caramel ice cream.
