“I’m honored to have reached this milestone,” said Alma Rodriguez. “It hasn’t always been easy, but I think we’ve built up something special at Queen Bee’s. I love that it’s not only a haven for so many different art forms, but that Queen Bee’s is also a place where people can meet and mingle and just have a good time. I hope that this party shows us off at our best as we prepare for all sorts of great happenings ahead. Come celebrate with us!”
A Journey of Resilience and Determination
The path to reaching the 15-year milestone for Alma and Queen Bee’s has been a challenging and inspiring journey. Amid the challenges of the COVID pandemic, countless local businesses found themselves grappling to stay afloat, and Queen Bee’s was no exception.
In the lead-up to the pandemic and throughout those trying times, there were moments when Alma struggled to pay the bills in time. However, her unwavering resilience and determination were the driving forces that enabled the business to persistently cultivate the arts and culture in San Diego.
A Testament to the Power of Arts and Community
Through hosting fundraisers, art auctions, and reaching out to her own community, Queen Bee’s not only survived, but thrived throughout the years. Now, 15 years later, Alma is eager to commemorate the resilience of the establishment as well as everyone who has contributed to its prosperity.
This special celebration stands as a testament to the lives touched and empowered by Queen Bee’s, as well as a hopeful glimpse into the future, showcasing how this cherished haven will continue to unite people through the love of the arts.
