2024 Coronado Art and Wine Festival Featured Artists
The festival showcases a stunning array of artistic styles and mediums and shines a spotlight on four Featured Artists, all local to Coronado and San Diego:
Parker Heath
Parker Heath is a San Diego-based interdisciplinary artist creating work in a variety of media such as painting, ceramics, textiles, and home accessories. Parker received his Studio Arts BFA in 2022 from San Diego State University.
The breadth of his multi-media work symbiotically allows him to discover and examine how the roles of functionality, materiality, and conformity co-exist in contemporary life.
Among these different practices, Parker has developed his signature artistic approach, with his final pieces embodying modern aesthetics while invoking a bohemian style.
Stefanie Bales
An award-winning fine artist, muralist, and boutique gallery owner, Stefanie earned a B.F.A. in Studio Arts and an M.S. focusing on Art Therapy applications with neuro-diverse populations.
She taught at a local design college for a decade before opening SBFA, which was awarded the title of “Best Art Gallery” by Modern Luxury and The SD Reader.
Stefanie was also named people’s choice for “Best Artist” by San Diego Magazine. Clients include Balboa Park, Belmont Park, Estancia La Jolla Hotel, and the San Diego Museum of Art.
Jerome Le Blanc
Meet Jerome LeBlanc, aka the California Tom Cruise! Jerome is a French-Canadian former architect who has been passionate about art since childhood.
Though he performs full-time as Maverick from Top Gun, he has long dreamed of sharing his artwork with the Coronado community.
“It is an honor to participate in the third annual Coronado Art and Wine Festival, and I hope to entertain the audience with Lt. Pete Mitchell’s art, the majority of which is related to the Navy, Top Gun, and architecture.”
Jean Pierre Marques
For over 55 years as a Master of Yoga, Martial Arts, Tai Chi, and Meditation, artist Jean Pierre Marques has demonstrated the power of creative human energy through his teachings and paintings.
Jean Pierre describes his work as Meditative Art and is inspired by music, nature, sounds, and silent meditation. The vibrations of the colors in his paintings invite more than a visual experience; they awaken the senses and evoke spirituality, freedom, beauty, and transformation.
A Day for the Community
The Coronado Art and Wine Festival is a collaboration between the Coronado Schools Foundation and the Coronado Chamber of Commerce, two nonprofits that bring together vital areas of our community: the schools, the arts, and local businesses.
