World Design Capital Announces Binational Youth Poster Exhibition

World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024 (WDC 2024) announces the selected posters of the Binational Youth Poster Exhibition.

A collection of 16 designs created by young people from our region, this exhibition is not only a showcase of creativity, but also a testament to the profound impact young minds can have on our shared future.

Highlighting Local Talent and Cross-Border Collaboration

“We applaud all the inspiring young adults who submitted designs for this exhibition,” said Mai Nguyen, Board Chair of WDC 2024 and Director of UC San Diego Design Lab.

San Diego and Tijuana are blessed with an amazing local art scene, and this process showed us that this will continue for generations to come. The designs selected are a beautiful reflection of cross-border collaboration, something that is at the forefront of WDC 2024’s mission.”

The WDC 2024 Club is a diverse community for young people that aims to champion the voice and aspirations of younger generations within the framework of WDC 2024, ensuring a long-term generational impact that benefits everyone.

Binational Youth Poster Exhibition: Themes and Impact

The Binational Youth Poster Exhibition is a transformative and impactful youth showcase featuring posters addressing the pressing challenges facing our region.

This exhibition will stand as a canvas of change, offering the emerging generation a platform to channel their boundless imagination through artistic expression and serve as a platform to address and resolve critical issues that affect our community.

Themes explored throughout the exhibition include: Arts & Culture; Effective Infrastructure and Placemaking; Equity, Social Justice, Health & Wellbeing; The Environment; Youth & Education; Science & Technology; Support the Unhoused; and Re-Imagine the Border.

Selected Artists and Future Initiatives
