$100,000+ In Toys To Be Anonymously Gifted To Toys For Tots

This is so amazing! In true holiday spirit, a generous anonymous philanthropist will purchase more than $100,000 worth of toys to donate to Toys for Tots at Geppetto’s at The Forum Carlsbad. Geppetto’s, along with Northwood Retail, will also donate hundreds of toys to add to the sizeable gift.

Toys for Tots is such an incredible cause. The non-profit with the mission to collect and distribute new, unwrapped toys for underserved children at Christmas. A gift like this will have a beautiful impact on a huge number of kids and families around San Diego this holiday season.

“We are honored to be selected again by this anonymous donor to provide thousands of gifts to underserved families,” said Brian Miller, owner of Geppetto’s.

“This gentleman’s generosity is inspiring and serves as a reminder to me and the community about the spirit of the season. He has made a huge impact on the Toys for Tots campaign – spending between $50,000 and $100,000 – with two truckloads of toys purchased for the organization at varying Geppetto’s locations over the past five years.”

On the morning of Thursday, November 9, Geppetto’s at The Forum Carlsbad will host the anonymous donor and members of the U.S. Marine Corps as they personally select items that will be boxed and loaded for pick-up by the Marine Corps from 7AM to 9AM.

The store will open at 10AM and the community is invited to be part of the experience with the option to donate as well, or simply to witness the giving spirit. Anyone who donates a new toy on November 9 will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card to Geppetto’s.

This also serves as the kickoff to the Toys for Tots campaign with all Geppetto’s stores serving as collection locations this holiday season.
