Matsu reflects a new approach to modern Japanese cooking while paying homage to centuries-old tradition. The menu is a study of pristine, simple ingredients, and the overall experience balances ritual and serenity, providing a sense of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality.

Ambrogio by Acquerello in La Jolla offers modern Italian cuisine using the traditional flavors of Milan, Italy, with Pacific Asian influences.
Helmed by famed Chef Silvio Salmoiraghi of Michelin-starred restaurant Acquerello in Milan, Italy, the restaurant offers a tasting menu with each artfully designed dish drawing inspiration from France, Korea, Japan, California, and Italy.

The dinner will take place on Tuesday, July 9, at Ambrogio by Acquerello.
The eight-course tasting menu will be $225 per person, with an optional wine and sake pairing. Seats are limited and can be reserved at their website here or on Tock and OpenTable.
