Great news, music lovers….the Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival is charting a highly anticipated comeback!

Following successful collaborations with the Port of San Diego and San Diego’s Tourism and Marketing Department, the festival is set to spread good vibes across downtown San Diego’s shoreline this spring.

Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival’s New Springtime Vibe

Promising an unforgettable experience along the stunning waterfront of downtown San Diego, Wonderfront is breaking away from its traditional late-November slot in 2024.

The festival is geared to captivate audiences in Spring 2024 from May 10 to 12, ensuring a vibrant outdoor experience as San Diego’s Kick-Off to Summer Festival.

Wonderfront’s Commitment to Musical Diversity

Spanning three days, with approximately 80 artists across seven stages, the 2024 programming is set to deliver an eclectic lineup catering to various musical tastes, featuring established career headliners alongside the hottest emerging artists.

This year’s format is dedicated to more of a daily curated collection of artists highlighting genre-specific talent. The Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival is also showcasing emerging Dance & DJ talent on this year’s new Club Lounge Stage.

As anticipated, the festival grounds stretch from the heart of the city to the sea, featuring yacht parties, local culinary delights, immersive acts, unique activations, and art installations.

“Wonderfront has always been about creating an immersive experience that goes beyond the music, and we are excited to bring even more diversity and innovation to the festival in 2024,” says Paul Thornton, Managing Partner.

The Lineup

The festival has a mindblowing lineup, featuring the hottest breakout artists and beloved industry veterans across rock, hip-hop, ADM, pop, Americana, alternative country, jam, and reggae.

From Kaytranada’s infectious beats to Weezer’s iconic sounds, Beck’s eclectic stylings to JID’s raw energy, Mt. Joy’s jams to Dominic Fike’s swooning crowd favorites, Wonderfront 2024 promises a musical journey like no other.

Wonderfront is stacked every day with amazing live performances featuring emerging breakout artists such as Q, Paris Texas, Samm Henshaw, Abby Anderson, and new artists skyrocketing to the top like Channel Tres.

They are joined by some of the hottest acts out there today, including Carly Rae Jepsen, T-Pain, Milky Chance, Marcus King, Dayglow, Natasha Bedingfield, Bakar, mixed in with some classic favorites like The Roots and Steel Pulse.

There’s even a special rare performance by Action Bronson with Dr. Bachlava & the Human Growth Hormone (his full band).

Continuing Wonderfront’s tradition and commitment to musical diversity and showcasing the hottest emerging talent…Friday kicks off with hip-hop, house, and indie groove pop.

On Saturday, dive into the power-pop rock of the 00s forward and the generation of indie pop rock it inspired.

Sunday offers a unique lineup of organic grooves, smooth sounds deserving of the perfect sunset, and purpose-driven artists for the true music lover.

In a special addition this year, there will be free entertainment in Seaport Village. The festival’s team is dedicated to programming a free community stage for the entire weekend, providing an opportunity to enjoy live performances from a variety of artists.

The free community stage at Seaport Village is a celebration of music, art, and the vibrant spirit of San Diego—a token of appreciation for the community’s longstanding support.

A Complete Lifestyle Experience

The fun doesn’t end with music on the waterfront! There will also be mouthwatering local culinary delights and craft beers and lots of participatory activities.

You’ll also be able to keep the party rolling into the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter and Little Italy for unforgettable after-parties and club shows, or embark on exclusive excursions like yacht parties, cruises, and sunset sails.

Wonderfront is also rolling out the red carpet with an upgraded VIP experience located right next to the main stages on one side and just 20 feet away from the waterfront on the other.

The VIP experience will also allow for access to a VIP Limo Boat for harbor party cruises, and enjoy front-row viewing at both main stages—expanded for 2024 to include even more space and multiple entrance/exit points.

And that’s not all—dive into the VIP Hideaway Lounge space inside the new EDM Dance Club for an exclusive open-air club experience like no other.
