Young Artists Paint the Town: Santa Ysabel Mural Project Returns
We’re buzzing with excitement and for good reason! Santa Ysabel Art Gallery is gearing up for round two of their awesome Mural Project, and trust us, you won’t want to miss this colorful spectacle.
Santa Ysabel Mural Project: A Canvas for the Community
Expect a bunch of pint-sized Picassos armed with brushes and boundless imagination, ready to transform a blank wall into a nature-inspired masterpiece. It’s like watching the next generation of San Diego’s art scene bloom right before our eyes!
The fun kicks off on Thursday, August 8, with the Spencer Valley Jump Start campers leading the charge. These little artists, from kindergarteners to 6th graders, will be wielding their brushes under the expert guidance of local artists Annie Dover and Anastasia Castle. Talk about a dream team!
But the artistic party doesn’t stop there. On Saturday, August 10, the gallery’s throwing open its doors to kids from all over the region. It’s a chance for every budding Banksy and mini Monet to leave their mark on this massive mural.
And the best part? The gallery’s got all the supplies covered. All you need to bring is creativity and maybe a change of clothes—things might get messy!
We’ve always loved how Santa Ysabel Art Gallery champions our local talent, from established pros to these rising stars. This mural project is just another fantastic example of their commitment to nurturing the next wave of California’s artistic talent.
See you there!
So, if you’ve got a young artist at home itching to make their mark, or you just want to witness some serious creativity in action, head over to Santa Ysabel Art Gallery.
The mural magic happens from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM on August 8, and from 11 AM to 4 PM on August 10. Let’s watch as these kids turn Santa Ysabel into their very own artistic playground!
