The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is celebrating the start of summer with a full day of family-friendly activities – and everything is included with museum admission.
Sponsored by First 5 San Diego, the Summer Kick Off Family Day is a great excuse to get the family out of the house and into one of Balboa Park’s most unique museums.
Trains, Crafts, and a Scavenger Hunt
The event is packed with activities for kids of all ages:
- Hands-on toy train play tables
- Themed crafts throughout the museum
- A summer scavenger hunt with an exclusive limited prize for those who complete it
- Temporary tattoos
- Bubble activities in the museum garden
- Fun photo opportunities
Beyond the special activations, guests can also explore the museum’s detailed model train layouts and enjoy a full day of exhibits and displays.
