Party on the Beach: BETAMAXX Brings the ’80s to Solana Beach’s 40th Anniversary
Solana Beach is turning 40, and the city is throwing itself one seriously fun birthday party right on the sand at Fletcher Cove. On the night before the Fourth of July, the beach is transforming into a free, all-ages concert celebration with live music, dancing, and an ocean backdrop that couldn’t be more San Diego if it tried.

An ’80s Band Worth Dancing to
BETAMAXX has been running the ultimate live ’80s party across Southern California since 2009, and their Fletcher Cove debut is going to be a good one. Expect the kind of set that has the whole crowd singing along, moving, and maybe showing off some moves they’ve been saving since the Reagan era.
Here’s How the Night Plays Out
The night kicks off with Atomic Groove warming up the beach, then BETAMAXX takes over to close things out with the best of the decade. Come early to grab a good spot on the sand – this one’s free and open to all ages, so the whole crew is welcome.
Come Ready to Stay a While
Bring your beach chairs, blankets, and your most enthusiastic ’80s energy. Parking along the coast can fill up fast for events like this, so plan to arrive a little early and settle in before the music starts.
