Get a Taste of Wine Country’s New Live-Fire Menu at Temecula Creek Inn
Temecula Creek Inn just opened a new chapter in wine country dining, and it’s the kind of update that makes you want to clear your calendar for a long, unhurried dinner.
A reimagined Chef’s Garden and a fresh menu at Corkfire, built entirely around fire and seasonal produce, are leading the charge.

A New Chef’s Garden Built for Slow Dinners
Right next to Corkfire, the property’s signature restaurant, sits a newly landscaped Chef’s Garden made for exactly the kind of meal you don’t want to rush.
The space centers around a 30-seat communal farm table and a custom-built bar and grill, with ingredients grown just steps away.
It’s built for chef-led, multi-course dinners, whether you’re planning a small-group dinner, a celebration, or a private gathering. It’s the kind of setting that turns a simple dinner into an actual occasion.
The Chef Bringing the Vision to Life
Leading the charge is newly appointed Executive Chef Jonathan Alcala, a Culinary Institute of America grad who previously led kitchens at Mount Palomar Winery and Carter Hospitality Group.
His approach traces back to his upbringing in Baja, shaped by family gatherings and fishing trips with his father, and it shows in his commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable kitchen practices.
“Chef Jonathan Alcala brings a perspective that feels deeply connected to Temecula, where agriculture, community and the outdoors naturally come together,” said Stan Gershkovich, general manager of Temecula Creek Inn.
“His cooking reflects that, and the garden-and-flame direction he is bringing to Corkfire creates exactly the kind of sensory, memorable dining experience that encourages people to slow down, share a meal and really take in where they are.”
Live Fire Takes Over Corkfire’s Menu
Alcala built the new Corkfire menu around live-fire techniques, including ember roasting, wood-fire grilling, and smoke infusion, applied to seasonal California ingredients pulled straight from the on-site Chef’s Garden.
The dinner menu’s Ember section includes standouts like Pork Chop with citrus brine and mesquite tomato marmalade, Braised Short Rib with herb gremolata and cherry tomato vinaigrette, and Salmon with smoked lemon yogurt and chermoula.
An expanded brunch and happy hour program rounds things out, all built around bold, Mediterranean-influenced flavors balanced with fresh herbs, citrus, and garden-grown produce.
