Spend Your Lunch Break With Free Chamber Music at the Top of the Central Library
Free chamber music, city views from the top floor, and a standing invitation to bring your lunch. The San Diego Symphony’s Midday Music series is a very good use of a Friday afternoon – and it costs nothing to show up.
Ai Nihira Awata, Kenneth Liao, and Nathan Walhout Play Dohnányi
August’s concert features San Diego Symphony musicians Ai Nihira Awata on violin, Kenneth Liao on viola, and Nathan Walhout on cello – a string trio performing a program that includes Ernő Dohnányi’s Serenade in C Major, Op. 10, and more. It’s the kind of live music that earns the trip downtown on its own.
Top-Floor City Views, a Bagged Lunch Welcome, and No RSVP Required
The series takes place in the Shiley Special Events Suite on the top floor of the Central Library @ Joan λ Irwin Jacobs Common at 330 Park Boulevard. Held in collaboration with the San Diego Public Library, Midday Music is a brand-new series dedicated to the memory of James R. Dawe, a longtime arts advocate and supporter of public libraries. No registration needed – just show up.
See you there!
