Okay, maybe he didn’t, but if you think about it, the idea of meditation is to release tension and promote ease in your life — and who ever said a drink wouldn’t help with that!?
That’s why the newest neighborhood hotspot in Carmel Valley, WESTROOT Tavern, is teaming up with Crunch Fitness to host “Yogatini” – an event like no other for our dear San Diego yogis.
Wednesday, May 31st, head to Crunch Fitness at 7pm for an hour of much-needed midweek balance and cleansing-focused vinyasa, then follow it up with a soothing libation and appetizer at WESTROOT Tavern.
And WESTROOT isn’t pouring out just any drinks, they’re putting some healthy thought into this; “The Doctor’s Orders” is made with absolute pear, cucumber, mint, fresh lime juice and simple syrup – refreshing and calming, for sure.

As for the food, well let’s just say it may be best for those perfecting their shavasana. The Brewers Platter will have you laid out in no time. With beer cheddar bratwurst, Bilbao chorizo, artisan cheese, pretzels, honey-porter mustard, pickled chilies and roasted poblano beer-cheese, this app will awaken your stomach to true happiness.
With enlightening drinks, dishes and desserts, WESTROOT is the perfect place to unwind after rolling up that yoga mat.
The $40 ticket includes a one-hour class at Crunch Fitness followed by a drink and appetizer next door at WESTROOT. Yogis must be 21 years or older.
