Step Inside House Nouveau Riche – Where the Roaring Twenties Meet What’s Next

There are fashion shows, and then there are arguments. House Nouveau Riche is the latter – a production built around a question every generation eventually has to answer: what does luxury look like when new money gets to define it?

Taking its name from the French term for “new money,” HNR arrives at Fashion Week San Diego – now in its 19th year – with something more than a runway presentation. The San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park becomes the setting for a full-scale collision between two eras of aspiration.

One Hundred Years of Cars, Couture, and the Same Question

A new exhibition of 1920s luxury automobiles lines the room – machines that once signaled a very specific idea of modern wealth. Beside them: contemporary couture, immersive cinema, live music, and technology that doesn’t announce itself as technology.

The idea isn’t nostalgia. It’s contrast. What one generation built to represent the future, placed beside what another is still inventing.

HNR frames this as an argument, not a display. Taste is still being negotiated. The symbols of what comes next haven’t gone obvious yet. This is what that moment looks like.

Grammy-Winning Cinema That Puts You Inside the Frame

La Pandora’s Box – the immersive cinematic project from two-time Grammy Award-winning composer Nadeem Majdalany – takes the experience from fashion into something closer to spectacle.

A multiple Telly Award-recognized work, it folds original music, cinema, live performance, and visual storytelling into a single surround experience. This isn’t a film playing in the corner. It’s the room.

A Billboard Top 10 Artist Doing Fashion Week Her Way

Five-time Billboard Top 10 recording artist Kendra Erika appears as a featured performer. Her “License to Thrill” concert experience sold out its Las Vegas debut, and her combination of polished pop, cinematic staging, and fashion-forward presence makes her a natural fit here. The music isn’t background. It’s part of the argument.

The Bar Tab That Runs on the Blockchain (Without Making a Scene)

The Veblen Standard (VBLN) brings the evening’s quietest innovation. Their live fiat-to-on-chain commerce experience lets you pay the way you’d pay anywhere – card or fiat – while the underlying system incorporates VBLN into the on-chain side of the transaction.

No investment pitch. No announcement. Just blockchain infrastructure doing its job behind an ordinary hospitality moment, exactly as HNR intends.

See you there!

If Fashion Week San Diego’s opening night is the conversation starter, House Nouveau Riche is the one that keeps you at the table.
