Pitch a Tent, Carve a Pumpkin, and Do Halloween Right on Mission Bay
There’s a version of Halloween that involves a campsite on Mission Bay, an RV decorating contest, and a DJ dance party after dark. Campland on the Bay calls it Howl-oween, and it runs across two full weekends this October. Come for one or make it back for both.

From Trick-or-Treating to a Spooky DJ Dance Party – the Schedule Delivers
The weekend lineup covers the full Halloween spectrum. Trick-or-treating and costume contests cover the classics; a pumpkin carving contest, an RV decorating contest, costume dodgeball, and bean bag tournaments fill out the days.
After dark, a spooky DJ dance party takes over. The full activity schedule will be posted closer to the event, but it’s a solid spread across both days of each weekend.

The RV Decorating Contest Turns the Whole Campground Into a Haunted Neighborhood
Part of what makes Howl-oween work is the campground itself. When your neighbors are competing to out-decorate each other and everyone’s in costume, the whole waterfront becomes part of the celebration.
Beyond the Halloween activities, there’s the full campground to enjoy and Mission Bay right outside. There’s also a pet costume contest – the kind that tends to stop everything.

Two Weekends on the Water – Pick One or Come Back for Both
Howl-oween runs across two full weekends with the same lineup at each, so the choice is mostly about which dates work. Both offer the same activities, the same waterfront setting, and the same excuse to go all out on a Halloween costume. Campsites can be reserved online – go ahead and lock something in.
See you there!
Halloween at the campground is a tradition worth starting. Campland on the Bay does it with waterfront views and enough costume competition to keep things interesting all weekend.
