Spend a Phone-Free Night With Gary Clark Jr. at Humphreys
Gary Clark Jr. has spent the last decade proving that a blues guitarist can still walk onto a Grammy stage, four times over. He brings that catalog to Humphreys Concerts by the Bay, with Xavier Lynn opening and every phone in the room sealed in a pouch.

From Family Sing-Alongs in Austin to Four Grammys
Clark started out singing with his sisters at family events in Austin, working through songs their dad picked. By his teens he was the guitar prodigy collecting co-signs from Eric Clapton.
His major label debut came in 2011 with the Warner Records EP The Bright Lights, and the albums followed: Blak and Blu in 2012, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim in 2015, and This Land in 2019.
Four Grammys sit at the other end of that run, including Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Please Come Home” and a clean sweep of Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Music Video for “This Land.”
Xavier Lynn Opens, and Nobody Has a Seat
Xavier Lynn starts the night, so get in early enough to catch him. The show is general admission and standing only, which means your spot comes down to when you walk through the gate.
Every Phone Goes Into a Yondr Pouch at the Door
This one is phone-free. No cellphones, cameras, or recording devices in the performance space. Your phone gets secured in a Yondr pouch on arrival and unlocked at the end of the night.
You hold onto your own belongings the whole time, and there are designated Phone Use Areas in the venue where you can get into your phone, then re-secure it before going back in. Anyone caught using a device during the performance gets walked out. Bring a credit card for anything you want to buy inside.
See you there!
