Food, Dance And Culture At The San Diego Night Market

One of the coolest cultural events is coming back to San Diego this summer. For the weekend of June 24th and June 25th, Kearny Office Park in the Convoy District will be booming with some of the most authentic food, dance and culture of Asia.

Dubbed the “San Diego Night Market,” the third installment of this tasty showcase will leave your bellies full and your weekend game strong.

More than food (even though, in our eyes, good food is always enough!), this event is an open-air, urban experience – inspired by the lively night markets found in large cities throughout Asia.

From boba drinks and specialty tofu, to ethnic goods and apparel, new and experienced Night Market goers will discover over 30 vendors selling Asian-inspired street food and merchandise.

A performance stage will feature cultural and modern dances, bands, live DJs, and more unique entertainment you won’t want to miss!

“Following the successes of similar night markets that have spread through Vancouver, Los Angeles and the Bay Area, we are ecstatic to bring back this event to San Diego,” said Dr. Ping Wang, co-founder of the Convoy District. “This event is aimed to highlight local businesses and showcase local artistic talent.”

County Board Supervisor Ron Roberts, who represents the area, and whose office recommended a county grant that would go toward expanding the night market and projects that would beautify the Convoy area, claims, “Our region is fortunate to be home to people of varied backgrounds, all of whom come together at events like the Night Market. I encourage San Diegans to come and visit the Convoy District, which I envision could transform into a neighborhood cultural gem.”

Well said!

So get out there, San Diego. Go get your culture!
