Gaslamp Quarter welcomes AC Hotel San Diego

AC Hotel San Diego provides thoughtfully designed rooms and refined offerings, creating a seamless experience for guests. The project was built by Briad Construction Services, a division of Briad led by Chuck Pagnotta, Senior Vice President of Construction and Design, and is located at 743 5th Avenue.

The design team preserved the historic facade on the 69,000-square-foot building of 6th Avenue as part of the AC Hotel construction improvements adding to the historic beauty of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring the first AC Hotel to San Diego. We’re proud to offer guests a thoughtfully-designed, high-style environment and debut a one-of-a-kind experience at Techo Beso opening this summer, a rooftop inspired by the sun-drenched beaches of Tulum,” Rick Barbrick, President and Co-CEO of Briad Hospitality.

Techo Beso

Coming early summer, guests can enjoy Techo Beso, a rooftop bar and restaurant by Briad Hospitality. Techo Beso meaning “rooftop kiss” is inspired by the energy and culture of love found in Tulum, Mexico, and will feature a main bar space for a communal party atmosphere with the DJ elevated to connect the bar to the pool deck.

The rooftop will serve an elevated selection of hand-crafted cocktails and small plates, while providing guests with stunning and unobstructed views of Gaslamp Quarter.
