Andaz San Diego Has a Packed May for You to Enjoy

Andaz San Diego is one of those downtown spots that always seems to have something going on – and May is no exception. The rooftop alone is reason enough to show up, but this month the hotel is layering in comedy, wellness, live music, and art to make it a pretty easy call for a night out (or morning in).

Andaz San Diego May Events

Catch a Comedy Show You Can’t Google

Don’t Tell Comedy is back with a pop-up in Andaz’s Studio Loft space. If you haven’t been to one of these before, the concept is simple – surprise comedians, intimate venue, genuinely good time. The lineup stays secret until showtime, which is half the fun. Tickets are $30 – get yours here.

Mother’s Day on the Rooftop

Skip the packed restaurant and take mom somewhere with a view. Andaz is extending breakfast service for Mother’s Day, making for a relaxed, unhurried brunch above the city. Low-key but elevated – exactly the right combination for the day.

Rooftop Pilates to Close Out the Month

May wraps up with a rooftop mat class in partnership with Ethereal Balance, followed by breakfast bites, a mimosa, and a local vendor pop-up. At $45 a ticket, it includes the class, a drink, a lite bite, and 20% off additional food. A solid Saturday morning plan.

Art Throughout the Hotel All Month

Andaz has partnered with Sparks Gallery to display works by Alexander Arshansky throughout the hotel for May and into the summer. His vibrant, mosaic-like compositions make for a genuinely interesting backdrop as you move through the space – the kind of thing that makes a hotel stay or visit feel a little more considered.

Live Music Every Thursday

Every Thursday evening, the rooftop hosts local live talent spanning pop, soul, rock, and more. May’s performers include Kristi Krause (American Idol), Jolene Cruz, Jason Graham, Trevor Davis (The Voice), and Christian Taylor. A great weekly reason to get up to the rooftop.

See You There!

From comedy and pilates to live music and rooftop brunch, Andaz San Diego is making May worth showing up for.
