Summer Picnics And Bonfires With Barrio Star To-Go Margaritas

With summer approaching, we can’t wait to spend more time outdoors in America’s finest city. San Diego is home to many beautiful picnic and bonfire spots with views of the city and the Pacific.

Located just a block west of a most ideal picnic place, Balboa Park, Barrio Star serves To-Go Margaritas that are perfect to pair with a picnic or take to a bonfire. Whether with family, friends, or by yourself, grab a blanket and visit Barrio Star to pick up delicious to-go margaritas!

With 160 tequilas and 40+ mezcals on display, Barrio Star is a tequila and mezcal bar at heart. General Manager, Michael Simpson, keeps the menu fresh with a taco, tequila, and margarita special every month.

Pump up your picnic with June’s Spicy Cucumber Strawberry Margarita made with jalapeno infused tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, organic strawberry puree, muddled cucumber, organic extra light agave nectar, and a spicy Tajin and chili rim.

If you can’t make up your mind about all the delicious options, order the Margarita Flight of four 5oz tasters including The Barrio, The Blood Orange, The Roasted Jalapeno Blackberry and the monthly special. Quality ingredients are key at Barrio Star, that’s why they don’t use any artificial flavors or added sugars.

If chips and sandwiches are getting old, mix up your meal and bless your basket with some of the best tacos San Diego has to offer from Barrio Star. Chow down on traditional carnitas tacos with oven baked carnitas topped with cotija cheese, onion, cilantro, avocado sauce and chile guajillo and turn your picnic into a fiesta!
