Del Mar’s Beeside Balcony Is Coming To La Jolla With New Location

Del Mar’s beloved Beeside Balcony is making its way to La Jolla with an anticipated opening date set for October 2022.

Previously home to Sushi on the Rock restaurant, this 2,400 square-foot space will be owned and operated by Executive Chef Christophe Cevasco, a 3rd generation chef of Spanish and Italian descent with four decades of cooking experience in restaurants around the world, including Le Cirque, Eiffel Tower, and Valentino’s in Las Vegas and locally as a managing partner of Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in La Jolla.

Beeside Balcony La Jolla

“After working seven years at Eddie V’s in La Jolla and then being away in Del Mar for four years, it’s time I come back to La Jolla,” says Christophe Cevasco, Executive Chef and Owner of Beeside Balcony. “The ocean views put together with exceptionally tasty dishes are sure to satisfy locals and visitors alike. I feel very fortunate to be able to bring Beeside down to La Jolla and I know the team is looking forward to it.”

Beeside Balcony La Jolla is complete with breathtaking views of the sea from its open air balcony and interior. Identical to its Del Mar location, Beeside Balcony La Jolla will offer a global Mediterranean menu with a French influence consisting of organic meats, sushi-grade seafood, imported cheese, salami and olives, and produce sourced from local farms.

The restaurant will also offer a full bar with cocktails, beer and wine, as well as an onsite speakeasy to be known as “The Hive”. The speakeasy will showcase its own specially curated cocktails separate from the restaurant.

The new Beeside Balcony will be located at 1025 Prospect Street, Suite 250, in La Jolla.
