Blade 1936, Oceanside’s newest dining destination, is giving guests additional chances to enjoy the restaurant’s delicious Italain cuisine, with the launch of Saturday and Sunday brunch, and lunch Wednesday through Friday.
Expanding upon Blade 1936’s core offerings of house-made Napoli style wood-fired pizzas and crafted semolina pastas, the brunch and lunch menus offer classic brunch fare, various focaccias and paninis, soups, and salads. Following suit of the dinner menu, both brunch and lunch include numerous vegan and gluten free options.
Highlights from the brunch menu include the Lemon Ricotta Shortstack, made with citrus butter, poppy seeds, almond, and maple, Blade Benedict with bloomsdale spinach, pancetta, and smoked tomato and Manzo Focaccia with house-made pastrami, gorgonzola, pickled shallot and radicchio. In addition to new dishes, the brunch menu also adds five cocktails to the menu.
Featured dishes from the lunch menu include the Farro Salad made with Lacinato kale, barley, duck prosciutto, cranberry, mango, lemon, and rice vinegar dressing, the Napoli Panini with fennel sausage, rapini, smoked mozzarella, and extra virgin olive oil, and Gnocchi Bolognese with slowly braised beef, pork, tomato, and red wine.
