The Grass Is Always Greener With A Bleu Bohème Picnic

In times like these, it’s important for everyone, especially restaurateurs, to make the most of what they’ve got. Lucky for Ken Irvine of Bleu Bohème, Kensington Park is located right across the street from the restaurant.

Combine that with an incredible French menu and some creativity and hustle…and you’ve got a recipe for success even in a pandemic!

Picnics to-go!

Bleu Bohème is now offering picnics to-go, complete with a “table in a bag”, for guests to borrow and set up across the street so they can enjoy the restaurant’s incredible French cooking while enjoying San Diego’s beautiful weather at the park.

Picnic selections include La planche dégustation, a sample of fromage and charcuterie including a variety of imported French cheeses, house-made duck pâté, pork terrine de campagne, jambon de bayonne; and tartare de saumon, house rum-cured smoked salmon, capers, chives, lemon zest, crème fraiche and caviar served atop a goat cheese crepe.

The restaurant also has a new virtual server, which allows for online ordering, curbside pickup, free delivery within two miles, and even offers recommendations and wine pairings.
The application HERE, created in part by Ken Irvine himself, uses restaurant staff for deliveries, eliminating the need for third party services.

Grab your ‘quarantine team’ and get out for a picnic in the fresh air, Bleu Bohème style! The curbside pickup menu is available here.

See you there, and stay healthy, San Diego!
