California English Launches New Afternoon Tea Service

Pinkies up! Richard Blais’ California English is bringing the archetypal English institution of afternoon tea service to San Diego with their new Tea Time offered daily from 3PM to 5PM.

Guests can enjoy a charming afternoon sipping a variety of freshly brewed teas while noshing on delicious small bites and finger sandwiches. The best way to spend time between lunch and cocktails.

Afternoon Tea Service at California English

Tiered towers are filled with deliciously moreish uncrus-TEA-ble sandwiches and sweet petit-fours, along with an assortment of jams and marmalades. Guests can choose from two towers including:

English Tower For Two served with a Honey Lavender Scone

  • Uncrus-TEA-ble sandwiches: Smoked Salmon and Dill, Curry Chicken Salad and Deviled Egg
  • Petit-fours: Madeline, Battenberg Cake, Shortbread with Chocolate, Lemon Posset
  • Spreads: California English Jam, Clotted Cream, and a California Citrus Marmalade

California Tower For Two served with a Honey Lavender Scone

  • Uncrus-TEA-ble sandwiches: Toffee Apple and Cheddar, Rotisserie Chicken with Almond and Dates, Confit Ahi Tuna and Red Onion Marmalade
  • Petit-fours: Madeline, Battenberg Cake, Shortbread with Chocolate, Lemon Posset
  • Spreads: California English Jam, Clotted Cream, and a California Citrus Marmalade
