Chefs Life oils are a kitchen staple for the home chef, designed by a professional. Chefs Life three product SKUS, Cooking Oil, Blending Oil, and Finishing Oil, are available at 1,800 grocers nationwide and online.

The idea for creating a specific cooking oil for different culinary techniques came to Chef Malarkey in the midst of the pandemic while he was teaching thousands of home cooks through virtual cooking classes.

“As a professional chef you never get much time working side-by-side with home cooks, so I learned a lot about their processes, from grocery shopping to cooking. It was fun to share pro-chef hacks and watch them experience ‘A-Ha’ moment, like when I told them EVOO is a no-go for sautéing because it burns at a much lower temperature than other oils, making your food bitter,” said Brian Malarkey, Chef and Founder of Chefs Life. “I just thought, if pros know this, why are so many home cooks still wasting their high-quality olive oils to cook with. It’s time we
shared our secrets with them!”

Brian Malarkey is a celebrated chef, creator of 20+ restaurant concepts, and TV personality. He sold a majority stake of his first restaurant group (Searsucker and Herringbone) to global Hakkasan Group for $25 million in 2012, which he grew to 10+ locations in the U.S. and internationally. Brian then co-founded the Puffer Malarkey Collective, from which he has opened 10 different concepts in 5 years, including the nationally acclaimed Herb & Wood and his most recent concept, the Asian-inspired Animae. When he’s not in the kitchen you’ll see him on the
screen – Brian was a contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars, is a regular judge on Guy’s Grocery Games, and is now the host of Cooking with Malarkey, a virtual cooking class series.

Chefs Life Cooking Oil

Avocado, olive oil, sunflower oil and grapeseed oil. This blend can take the heat and is the go-to for sautéing, frying, roasting, and searing. Why? Avocado oil has a high smoke point meaning it’s perfect for pan-frying, roasting, and frying, sunflower is the pantry hero for all things sear- and sauté-related, and grapeseed oil is prized by restaurant chefs for its high smoke point. Unlike Extra Virgin Olive Oil, its flavor is neutral so your food stands out, not the oil.

Chefs Life Blending Oil

Extra Virgin Olive Oil, avocado oil and grapeseed oil, this blend is perfect for making salad dressings and baking. Its mild flavor is a perfect canvas for blending with vinegars, herbs and spices and puts store-bought salad dressings to shame. Why? Avocado oil’s creamy goodness creates the perfect texture when baking, while grapeseed oil’s plays-well-with-others reputation lets herbs and citrus shine in salad dressings and dips.

Chefs Life Finishing Oil

Pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil for drizzling, its strong peppery qualities give your food a pop of flavor. Elevating the simplest dishes, drizzle, spray or brush this oil onto meats, seafood and veggie dishes. This is the oil for dipping fresh baked bread or topping your favorite hummus or dip. Add a little or a lot.

“Partnering with Chefs Life and Brian Malarkey to bring an amazing product to life that has real impact on people’s lives is truly inspiring. While the restaurant industry is rebounding from the impact of COVID, there is still an overwhelming number of folks who need assistance. The donations from this delicious new line of cooking oils will go a long way to help those in need – it’s a product that tastes as good as you’ll feel about it,” said Paula Robison, President & CEO of Golden Rule Charity.
