About Coastal Roots Farm

Coastal Roots Farm is a 20-acre farm, which includes a food forest, vegetable gardens, compost, plant nursery, and more, on the coast in Encinitas. Since inception, they’ve donated over half its harvest to community members who lack access to fresh food through their pay-what-you-can farm stands, Community Support Agriculture (CSA) program, and direct donations to local hunger relief organizations (local Holocaust survivors, military families, Vista Community Clinic). They have continued to give through the Pay-What-You-Can Farm Stand throughout the pandemic and it’s been crazy busy.

The Farm Stand is open to community members of all backgrounds and identities. Donations are encouraged for farm produce, but no one is turned away for inability to pay. The farm accepts cash, credit, Apple Pay, and CalFresh EBT.
