Copa Airlines Launches New Nonstop Flights From Panama City to San Diego

Copa Airlines is bringing new nonstop flights from Panama City to San Diego, making it easier than ever to connect Southern California with Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Starting June 25, 2025, Copa Airlines will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, providing travelers with seamless access to its Hub of the Americas® in Panama City and beyond.

A Major Milestone for Copa Airlines

With this new route, San Diego becomes Copa Airlines’ 17th U.S. destination, further solidifying its commitment to expanding international connectivity. Copa’s extensive network allows travelers to connect to 86 destinations across 32 countries, offering business and leisure travelers a convenient and efficient way to explore the region.

“We are thrilled to welcome Copa Airlines to San Diego International Airport and introduce this nonstop service to Panama City,” said Kimberly Becker, President and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.

“This new route enhances opportunities for business and tourism while offering travelers a direct link to one of Latin America’s most vibrant hubs.”

  • Panama City (PTY) → San Diego (SAN): Departs 1:16 PM, arrives 6:15 PM (local time)
  • San Diego (SAN) → Panama City (PTY): Departs 8:58 PM, arrives 5:20 AM (local time)
