Del Mar Highlands Gets $120 Million Investment For Exciting New Dining And Shopping Options
Carmel Valley and Del Mar residents will be thrilled to learn that Del Mar Highlands Town Center is making a $120 million investment to bring exciting new dining and shopping options to Carmel Valley!
The ownership of the property will be unveiling a strategic expansion of new dining destinations, over 40 new retail shops, state-of-the-art Jimbo’s (naturally!), and redesigned outdoor spaces starting this fall.
Owned and operated by Donahue Schriber, a privately-held Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a portfolio of high-quality shopping centers from San Diego to Seattle, the Center’s enhancements will bring the total retail space to nearly 400,000 square feet featuring best-in-class offerings tailored to the area’s affluent residents and bustling daytime office population.
Exciting Barcelona-Inspired Social Dining Experience!
The expansion will include ‘The Collection’ – 120,000 square feet of prime retail space – as well as ‘The Sky Deck’ restaurant collective — a dining center inspired by El Nacional in Barcelona that features 10 dining destinations, an open-concept cocktail bars, and an outdoor beer garden.
Take a look at these architectural drawings of The Sky Deck – this is going to be a game-changer for the Carmel Valley community, which is craving more dining and drinking options!

We can’t wait to see this come to life! More restaurant options that create opportunities for social connection and community are exactly what Carmel Valley needs.
See you there!
