Evans Hotels Fall Offerings You Can’t Miss

Evans Hotels knows how to do autumn right, and their fall offerings prove San Diego doesn’t need changing leaves to create magic.

We’re talking about three spots that elevate the season: Bahia Resort Hotel, Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, where 72-degree days and sunset views make you forget what season it actually is.

Kids Eat (and Stay) Free All Season Long

Parents, this one’s for you. Both Bahia and Catamaran are rolling out the red carpet for families through October with their Kids Free San Diego deal. Children 12 and under stay, eat, and play without adding a penny to your bill.

We’re talking free kids’ meals at Oceana Coastal Kitchen, Dockside 1953, and Bianchi Pizza & Pasta with every adult entrée, plus complimentary paddleboard and kayak rentals for the little ones.

The savings don’t stop there. Book directly using code KIDSFREE and you’ll snag up to 25% off room rates through October 31.

Restaurant Week Gets the Bay Treatment

San Diego Restaurant Week runs from September 14 to 21, and Oceana Coastal Kitchen at Catamaran is serving up three courses that’ll make you question why you ever eat anywhere else.

Their $50 prix fixe menu includes roasted squash soup, beet carpaccio, or maple bourbon pork belly to start, followed by everything from flat iron steak to Catalina sea bass, finished with dessert that’s worth the calories.

Executive Chef Bryan Stuppy and Chef de Cuisine Alex Miranda are also launching their Chef’s Table series this fall—four intimate dinners featuring seasonal ingredients paired with local breweries and wineries.

Pure Project Brewery kicks things off September 12, followed by Duckhorn Vineyards, DAOU Vineyards, and a house-made cocktail finale.

When Fine Dining Meets Fire

The Lodge at Torrey Pines isn’t messing around this season. Playing with Fire wraps up its series September 8 with Chef Drew Deckman and Latitude 33 Brewing Company bringing the heat to The Grill at Torrey Pines. Wood-fired dishes and local brews make for the kind of combination that San Diego does better than anywhere else.

Plus, their Artisan Table Signature Wine Dinner on September 18 pairs Patrimony Wines with A.R. Valentien’s seasonal menu on the terrace—the kind of evening where you’ll want to linger over every sip.

Party Boats and Costume Contests

October brings two reasons to get dressed up and get on the water. The third annual Oktoberfest Party Cruise boards the William D. Evans sternwheeler on October 3 for three hours of German folk music, beer stein contests, and giant pretzels. Lederhosen optional, but strongly encouraged.

Then, Halloween gets the Dia de los Muertos treatment on October 25 with a pre-party at Beach and Boat Club featuring mariachi music and street tacos, followed by a midnight cruise complete with mummy mac and cheese and caramel apples from the crypt. Both cruises are 21+ only.

Movies Under the Stars

Catamaran Resort’s Movies on the Bay happens every Friday night at sunset through October 31, while Bahia Resort hosts Dive In Movies at their pool on Saturday nights in September. Because nothing says fall in San Diego like watching films outdoors in perfect weather.

Action Sport Rentals is sweetening the deal with 10% off all rentals using codes HAVEFUN or STAYWITHUS, plus $50 off powerboat rentals with code Summer50.
