The Free Switchfoot BRO-AM Brings Surf, Community, Donovan Frankenreiter And More To Encinitas
“The Switchfoot BRO-AM began in 2005 as an implausible dream: a dream that three of our favorite things (surfing, music, and the local community) could collide for a day in a way that gives back to the town that has given us so much.” – Jon Foreman, Switchfoot

And over 10 years later, we can confidently say that the BRO-AM Beach Fest is successful in doing just that!
This annual festival is a mixture of surfing contests, free concerts by some seriously big names, numerous vendor booths… all to celebrate community and to raise awareness and funds for local youth organizations.
Taking place at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas on Saturday, June 24th, the day includes:
- 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.: Team Surf Contest, Rob Machado Bro Junior Surf Contest, Challenged Athletes Foundation Kids’ Surf Contest, Surf Joust Expression Session
- 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Live music from Switchfoot, acoustic set with Lifehouse, Jamtown ft. Donovan Frankenreiter, G. Love & Cisco Adler, Adam Friedman, 91X Battle of the Bands Winner
