Tamale Time! Escondido’s Tastiest Festival Returns
A joyous celebration of Hispanic heritage is steaming up Escondido as USA Multicultural and Univision San Diego roll out their signature food festival. The 6th Annual Escondido Tamale Festival is about to turn Grape Day Park into the hottest spot in town—and we’re not just talking about the salsa!
Tamale Throwdown
Hold onto your corn husks because the festival’s Tamale Contest is where things really get cooking. Local tamale masters are bringing their A-game, armed with secret family recipes that would make abuela proud.
Meanwhile, two stages heat up with the kind of entertainment—spirited folklorico dancers, mariachi bands dropping those golden notes, and music that keeps the fiesta flowing.
More Than Just Good Eats
Sure, the tamales are the stars, but this party’s got more layers. Cool down at the beer garden between bites while the kiddos bounce around the Kids’ Zone.
Bring your fashionable four-legged friends to strut their stuff at the Hay Chihuahua Pet Contest, or get creative at the Catrinas and Catrines Competition.
The festival marketplace sparkles with local treasures, creating the perfect backdrop for this cherished celebration of Hispanic heritage.
