Bernardo Winery’s Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Fair Returns for a Weekend of Handmade Goods
Bernardo Winery is hosting its 48th Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Fair, and nearly five decades in, they’ve got the format dialed in.
The entire winery grounds transform into a marketplace for over 125 hand-picked artisans from across Southern California, all selling work they’ve made themselves. No mass-produced filler booths or drop-shipped products—everything here is genuinely handcrafted.

What You’ll Find
The vendor lineup covers a wide range: handmade jewelry, soaps, paintings, sculptures, local honey, clothing, pottery, and items for both home and garden.
It’s the kind of fair where you can knock out holiday shopping early or find something for your own space without sifting through the same candles and prints you see at every outdoor market.
The all-artisan approach means you’re buying directly from the people who made the work, which tends to result in better conversations about materials, techniques, and custom options than you’d get at a typical craft fair.

Wine, Coffee, and Food Sorted
Wine bars are set up throughout the winery grounds, so you can sip while you browse. If you’re arriving early, Manzanita Roasting Co opens at 8 AM for coffee—useful if you want to beat the afternoon crowds.
For food, there’s grab-and-go Italian fare from the Kitchen restaurant in the courtyard, plus a food court on the east side of the fair. The permanent winery village shops also stay open during the event, giving you more ground to cover if you’re planning to spend a few hours there.

Family-Friendly Setup
The winery grounds provide enough space that it doesn’t feel overcrowded, even with 125 vendors and steady foot traffic. Kids can move around without parents constantly worrying about them knocking things over, and the outdoor setting keeps everyone from getting that claustrophobic indoor-fair feeling after an hour.
After 48 years, Bernardo Winery knows how to run a solid craft fair—this one’s worth the trip to Rancho Bernardo if you’re in the market for handmade goods.
