ArtReach Hosts Free Community Workshops With Professional Artists
ArtReach is hosting free community workshops to create greater access to arts education for youth and adults in San Diego County through their Community. Access. Connection. (C.A.C.) workshop series. These free two-hour arts workshops provide a space for the community and its artists to create together.

Six Saturdays of Artreach Free Community Workshops
Six Saturday morning workshops will each feature a professional artist leading a two-hour class with a variety of materials, from batik and acrylic painting to printmaking and paper making. All workshops take place in the bright and sunny ArtReach Studio near Balboa Park, and can accommodate a maximum of 18 people to ensure a supportive environment for participants and educators.
Season 2 of C.A.C. begins March 18th and runs through June 2023. Featured local artists include Maya VanderSchuit, Yasmine K. Kasem, Nazanin Amiri Meers, Chad Berwald, Claudia Cano, and Nhuy Reid.
ArtReach hosted its inaugural season of C.A.C. in the fall of 2022 and featured local artists Katie Ruiz, Hanna Gundrum (Little House Ink), Lulu Yuming Qu, Sierra Aguilar (Stardust Coyote), Laurie Rae Evans, and Catherine Dzialo Haller.

Community. Access. Connection
Community. Access. Connection. free community workshops are art educational opportunities for the public and paid teaching opportunities for artists. Workshops are free for everyone in an effort to break down the financial barriers that often deter people from accessing arts education. For those with the ability and inspiration to donate, ArtReach is a 501c3 nonprofit and will happily accept donations toward their free visual arts programs in San Diego County schools.
Since 2007, ArtReach has engaged over 65,000 students across San Diego County in free, high-quality visual arts and mural programs. Teaching Artists travel to 40+ schools, sites, and events each year to deliver their mission – igniting youth creativity. Now, ArtReach expands upon that mission by opening its studio doors to a greater audience of inspired artists, families, and neighbors of all ages.
