The Bad Boyz Of Culinary Hosts A Showcase Of SD’s Top Upcoming Chefs And Their Best Dishes

In celebration of Black History Month, The Bad Boyz of Culinary, a collective of goal-oriented chefs from the urban community, is hosting a Culinary Showcase on Monday, February 21st. Created by Executive Chef Quinnton “Q” Austin, from Louisiana Purchase and Chef Kelston Moore, they aim to highlight African American chefs and create awareness for the cause through scholarships, culinary programs, events and mentorship.

San Diego’s first ever Black Cooking Competition

To celebrate Black History Month, The Bad Boyz are hosting San Diego’s first ever all Black Cooking Competition. This culinary showcase will feature four extremely talented, upcoming chefs, and guests will get to decide who is the best of the best. Competitors include Chef Enda, CEO of Eat Bomb San Diego LLC, Chef Gueye specializing in catering and private events, Chef McIntire, a private chef from Arizona and Chef Street, a self-taught private chef and food blogger.

In addition to the competition, there will be networking opportunities, a cocktail hour, and an artistic display by veteran and native San Diego artist, B. Hale.

Tickets Hosted at Louisiana Purchase in North Park, guests can purchase their tickets for this four-course meal experience for $90, or spend $135 for the additional cocktail experience. Both tickets can be purchased through the event page, by clicking here.
