Shop Six Weekends of Christmas at The Barn in Ramona

The holidays get a six-weekend head start in Ramona this year. The Barn Redefined, which plenty of people still know as Poway Countryside Barn, is setting up its Christmas shopping pop-up inside Ramona Town Hall for a second year running.

Liz McNamara and her mom, Debi, plan this one all year. The theme this time is GIFTmas, built around the season of giving, and it runs through everything from the trees to the raffle table.

Candy Land, Chrismukkah, and Christmas at the Lodge

The themed trees are the reason people come back. Candy Land, All White Winter, Christmas at the Lodge, and Chrismukkah are among the setups waiting this year, each decorated top to bottom as one complete idea.

Treat them as a shopping list for your own living room. Photo spots are scattered through the venue and past it, so bring the kids and the good camera. Gift wrapping supplies are on sale if you want to finish the job before you drive home.

A Makers Market Fills the Town Hall

Every weekend, the inside of the Town Hall turns into a Christmas market. Crafts, gifts, food, and music, all under one roof, Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM.

This is the part of the trip worth budgeting extra time for. Local makers, actual stocking stuffers, and nowhere to rush off to afterward.

Raffle Baskets That Help Light the Sky

Ramona Town Hall is a historic building, and the electrical and lighting need an upgrade. Christmas at the Barn is raising money for that project, called Light the Sky.

The raffle baskets are stacked with holiday goodies from The Barn Redefined and donated by other local businesses. Enter the raffle, and the money goes back into the building you are standing in.

Get In a Day Before Everyone Else

Customer Day lands on Monday, November 2, and it is the sneak peek before the public run starts. Same hours, smaller crowd, first pick of the shelves.

After that, the doors stay open Wednesday through Sunday until the middle of December, with a break for Thanksgiving. Go on a weekday if you want the trees to yourself.
