Breathe, Stretch, and Go Pink at Otay Ranch Town Center
Otay Ranch Town Center is giving over its Food Pavilion to an evening of yoga, music, and community this October. “Breathe & Believe, United in Pink!” is free to attend, and it is built around the people Breast Cancer Awareness Month is really for.

Roll Out a Mat at 5 PM or 6 PM
Namaste Fitness is leading two 30-minute Yoga Flow classes in the center’s main outdoor Food Pavilion, one at 5 PM and one at 6 PM. Both are free, and both are open to whoever shows up.
That is the spine of the evening. If you have been meaning to get back on a mat, this is a low-pressure way to do it, outdoors, with the rest of the center humming around you.
Add a Pink Ribbon to the Warrior Wall
An oversized Warrior Wall anchors the pavilion for the night. Residents are welcome to add a personalized pink ribbon for someone currently in treatment, someone who made it through, or someone the disease took.
It is the quietest part of the evening and the one worth leaving time for. Write the name, place the ribbon, and stand there for a minute.
Why the Helen Knoll Foundation Focuses on Younger Women
The Helen Knoll Foundation is on site with information on early detection and local women’s and breast health services.
The foundation has worked with Otay Ranch Town Center in past years, and its focus is specific: getting younger women screened, and getting them screened sooner.
Donations to the foundation are welcome at the event.

Treats, Music, and a T-Shirt to Decorate
The rest of the evening is the easy part. Decorate a T-shirt and take it home, pick up a treat, and let the music carry the two hours while the pavilion fills up.
Otay Ranch Town Center sits at Birch Road in Chula Vista, roughly 15 miles southeast of downtown San Diego and just off the South Bay Expressway. Nothing at this one costs you anything.
See you there!
Two hours, one Tuesday evening, and a Food Pavilion full of people in pink. Bring someone you want beside you, and leave a ribbon on the wall before you go.
