Paint Your Breath at UCSD’s Latest Art Installation
World-renowned Danish artist Jeppe Hein is bringing his incredible interactive art project “Breathe with Me” to San Diego, and we’re already feeling more zen just thinking about it.
Art Meets Mindfulness
Ever wondered what your breath would look like as art? Here’s your chance to find out. Grab a paintbrush and join fellow San Diegans in creating something truly unique.
As you exhale, you’ll paint a vertical stroke down the canvas, watching as vibrant colors fade into subtle hues—just like the natural rhythm of breathing.
A Global Movement Comes to San Diego
This isn’t just any art installation—it’s a worldwide phenomenon that’s made waves from Switzerland to China. Hein’s project has graced the walls of Copenhagen’s Danish Architecture Center and Beijing’s Parkview Green, and now it’s our turn to be part of this global breathing movement.
The artist’s personal journey with mindful breathing nearly a decade ago sparked this beautiful fusion of art and awareness, first seen in his “Breathing Watercolours” back in 2015.
