Top Chefs Unite For “A Conscious Catch” Fundraiser To Raise Awareness For Sustainable Seafood

Join The Marine Room for A Conscious Catch Fundraiser, an evening dedicated to the advancement of sustainable fishing practices featuring flavorful dishes and drinks specially crafted by several of San Diego‘s top chefs and stewards of the sea.

A Conscious Catch Fundraiser Highlights

Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail from Beeside Balcony and then dive into the coastal-inspired creations of:

  • The Marine Room’s Executive Chef Mike Minor and Chef De Cuisine Alex Pailles
  • Master Chef Rick Moonen, “The Godfather of Sustainability,” of Bravo TV’s Top Chef Masters
  • Owner and Chef Travis Swikard of Callie
  • Executive Chef Carlos Anthony of Herb & Wood
  • Matsu Owner and Chef William Eick

Puffer-Malarkey Collective Executive Pastry Chef Laura Warren will present the grand finale dessert.

The menu for the event will feature locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, thoughtfully selected to minimize our carbon footprint, and support our local seafood purveyors.

Each course is paired with a wine from Grgich Hills Estate, a pioneer in regenerative organic agriculture.

A Conscious Catch Fundraiser directly benefits the Walter Munk Foundation For the Oceans, a legacy of daring exploration and discovery through scientific research, education, and ocean conservation.
