The David’s Harp Foundation Students-Turned-Entrepreneurs To Launch Next Level Live-Stream Video & Event Production In San Diego
On Thursday, May 11th, The David’s Harp Foundation (DHF) welcomes San Diegans as well as an audience around the globe to participate in the official launch event for Red Dot Streaming, its new, student-founded live-stream video and event production business.
Developed by two 19-year-old DHF students in partnership with Moniker Warehouse event venue in East Village, Red Dot’s inspiring story of innovation and entrepreneurship empowers the voices of opportunity youth, and in the process helps to address educational inequality, provide alternatives to incarceration, and homelessness in the San Diego community.
LIGHT-BULB MOMENT | Red Dot’s Life-Changing Impact Success Story
Enter Gabriel Escalante and Jeshua Ortega, two of The David’s Harp Foundation students-turned-entrepreneurs who recognized an innovative business opportunity fueled by the post-pandemic demand for live-streaming within San Diego’s meetings and events industry.
Together they pioneered a new state-of-the-art live-stream video production business called Red Dot Streaming. The service is unique to Moniker Warehouse, one of San Diego’s top event venues and the headquarters of DHF. From corporate meetings and seminars to fundraising events, workshops, and parties, on-site productions benefit from Red Dot’s ability to leverage best-in-class technology to broadcast cinematic quality, multi-camera live events from a centralized studio.
It’s a game-changing launchpad for The David’s Harp Foundation and Moniker Warehouse. According to market researcher Market.us, the global virtual event market size accounted for $1.98 billion in 2022 and is expected to reach $1,066 billion in the next ten years. Together Red Dot and Moniker Warehouse collectively offer clients a virtual event management team, a professional production team, cross-promotion, creative inspiration, and an expert AV support system.
Most importantly, the partnership fulfills Escalante and Ortega’s social mission through Red Dot to open doors for fellow opportunity youth who are transitioning through The David’s Harp Foundation programs. “Being a part of The David’s Harp Foundation changed my life tremendously. I went from looking up to nobodies, to being looked up to, as an emerging leader and a mentor of the program,” says Red Dot’s Gabriel Escalante. His business partner, Jeshua Ortega adds, “The David’s Harp Foundation gave me a platform where I can express myself through video production and also gave me a community that I can proudly be a part of.”
In referencing Moniker Group’s partnership with DHF and Red Dot, CEO Ryan Sisson says, “It’s been the greatest honor to support The David’s Harp Foundation, and now to officially come full circle to partner with one of their student-founded businesses, it’s an absolute dream. We opened Moniker Warehouse thirteen years ago to empower brands and voices that need to be heard. It’ll continue to serve as a safe environment for the foundation to support these incredible kids, and I couldn’t be prouder of the community we’re building together.”
