Escher Quartet Returns To ArtPower With Grammy-Winning Guitarist, Jason Vieaux
Acclaimed for their profound musical insight and rare tonal beauty, the Escher String Quartet returns to ArtPower with Grammy-winning guitarist, Jason Vieaux.
The evening performance features duo program, one highlighting the expressive and nuanced performances by Escher Quartet with works by Haydn and Enescu; and another featuring Jason Vieaux, widely considered as one of the most elite classical guitarists on the scene these days on music by Duke Elligton, Fernando Bustamante, and Francisco Tárrega.
The evening culminates with Boccherini’s Guitar Quintet in D Major.
This concert is first of ArtPower’s chamber music series and takes place at the Department of Music’s Conrad Prebys Concert Hall with a pre-performance ArtTalk at 7 p.m. at The Loft.
