The Tour De Fat Brings Its Wild Festival To San Diego

The Tour de Fat is traveling all over the country, and we San Diegans need to show them what exactly we’re made of!

Are you with us?!

On Saturday, July 8th, the traveling philanthropic beer, music, and bike festival is bringing the party to Waterfront Park with The Naked And Famous and the Tour de Fat ensemble cast of performers.

The whole idea is to get wild… to expect to experience the unexpected.

With features like a “Slow Ride” (that’s right, the last person to cross the finish line is the winner. The catch: you can’t put your foot down!), dance contests, concerts and more, we know this festival means serious party business!

Here’s a look at the schedule of wildness:

  • 4:00 pm: Festival Opens
  • 4:20 pm: FIRE LEOPARD
  • 4:40 pm: Fashion Show (Great costumes deserve great admiration. The fashion show is open to all who want to show off their Tour de Fat costume on the catwalk.)
  • 5:25 pm: The Verigolds
  • 6:25 pm: Slow Ride (Race your fellow Tour de Fat-goers in a bike race where the last person to cross the finish line is the winner. The catch: if you put a foot down, you’re out.)
  • 6:40 pm: Ssssnake
  • 7:00 pm: Dance Contest (Here’s your chance to strut your stuff. The winner walks away with a New Belgium cruiser bike!)
  • 7:30 pm: The Naked and Famous
  • 9:00 pm: Curfew

Snag your tickets ($25) today!

Proceeds from the San Diego Tour de Fat benefit the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition and San Diego Mountain Bike Association.
