MCASD Hosts Preview Party for Giants With Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz

Giants are coming to La Jolla. The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is celebrating the West Coast debut of Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys with a special Preview Party featuring Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz themselves.

Organized by the Brooklyn Museum, this landmark traveling exhibition brings together more than 130 works by 37 Black diasporic artists from Africa, Europe, the United States, and the Caribbean – an extraordinary gathering of vision, voice, and legacy drawn from the Deans’ personal collection.

An Early Look at a Landmark Exhibition

The Preview Party gives you the chance to experience the exhibition before it opens to the public. Throughout the evening, MCASD transforms into a celebratory art space with live music, elevated light bites from TRUST Restaurant Group, and a cash bar.

Set against the backdrop of La Jolla Cove, the night blends contemporary art, culture, and music in one immersive setting. This event is 21+ only.

Keep the Night Going at the After Party

For those who want to extend the celebration, the festivities continue at Lou Lou’s Jungle Room at The Lafayette Hotel & Club with a late-night After Party. Doors open shortly before the party begins, carrying the energy from La Jolla to North Park for a full evening of art and music.
