ArtReach’s Golden Hour: Made in SD Celebrates Youth Creativity
ArtReach is bringing the community together for Golden Hour: Made in SD, a joyful fundraiser spotlighting youth creativity across San Diego County. This evening event invites supporters, families, artists, and neighbors to gather for art, connection, and hands-on creative experiences.
At its core, Golden Hour is a celebration of the imagination and voices of young artists who participate in ArtReach’s school and studio programs.
A Youth Art Exhibition With Immersive Installations
The event will feature a youth art exhibition with immersive installations built from student-created work. Expect interactive displays and creative moments that showcase the impact of accessible visual arts education throughout the region.
Rather than simply viewing artwork on a wall, you’ll move through spaces designed to highlight how young people interpret the world around them. It’s an opportunity to experience their creativity at scale while connecting with the Teaching Artists who help guide that process.

Art, Music, Food, and Hands-On Fun
Golden Hour goes beyond the exhibition. Throughout the evening, there will be music, food, a photobooth, raffle prizes, and engaging art activities for all ages.
Interactive art stations are currently in development, designed to encourage everyone to create, explore, and connect. Whether you’re adding your own brushstroke to a collaborative piece or trying something new, the goal is to make creativity accessible and shared.

A New Chapter for ArtReach’s Studio Space
The event also marks an exciting milestone for ArtReach with the dedication of a new mural and the unveiling of the studio’s reimagined backlot play area.
The outdoor space is undergoing a vibrant transformation that includes a large-scale mural, new shade structures, landscaping, and welcoming gathering areas.
The updates are designed to support creativity, play, and community programming for years to come, reinforcing ArtReach’s commitment to building spaces where young artists can thrive.

Supporting Access to Arts Education
Golden Hour will offer pay-what-you-can tickets, with proceeds directly supporting free and low-cost visual arts programs for youth across San Diego County. ArtReach focuses on expanding access to high-quality arts education, particularly for young people in under-resourced communities.
Through in-school programs, mural initiatives, apprenticeships, and community workshops, ArtReach continues to strengthen both arts education and San Diego’s creative economy by employing local artists and investing in the next generation.
