The 10th Annual Hemp History Week® Campaign, ​Return Of The Plant!

The 10th annual Hemp History Week® campaign, ​Return of the Plant! ​will cap off the week of nationwide hemp events with a celebration in San Diego featuring rapper and Jurassic 5 founding member, Chali 2na and the House of Vibe.

This year’s Hemp History Week — the largest public education and advocacy campaign to renew strong support for hemp farming in the U.S. — will witness hundreds of events across the nation that aim to raise awareness about the environmental sustainability, health benefits, regenerative agriculture potential and new technological applications of hemp as a food, fiber and botanical crop.

Chali 2na comes to the Music Box in San Diego, direct from his European tour. The rapper has established himself as one of hip-hop’s most distinguished acts with his unique baritone sound and magnetic charisma, also garnering industry praise as a visual artist. The San Diego HempHistory Week celebration will feature additional performances by world folk band, Iron Sage Wood, and indie DJ, Rafi eL.

Celebrating the end of hemp prohibition

With the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill legalizing hemp farming across the country, ​Return ofthe Plant!​ celebrates the end of hemp prohibition after nearly half a century. The San Diego Hemp History Week celebration marks a giant leap forward for both the hemp industry andagricultural freedom as the U.S. moves into a new era with this cash crop.

Additionally, San Diego Hemp History Week will host a meet and greet with hemp farming leaders, and a variety of featured speakers representing the hemp industry.
