Hillcrest CityFest 2022 Art And Music Festival Set To Take Over Hillcrest August 14th
Hillcrest CityFest 2022 — San Diego’s largest art and music festival, stretching nearly half a mile in size on over 9 city blocks — is set to take over Hillcrest on August 14th, when the quaint shops and restaurants along 5th, Robinson, and University will come alive with community spirit!
The festival celebrates the Hillcrest neighborhood’s colorful and vibrant community, and features live bands, electric dance music DJs, arts, crafts, and food that attracts over 150,000+ visitors from San Diego and Southern California.
What’s new for Hillcrest CityFest 2022
Hillcrest CityFest 2022 will be a feast of interactive arts. Hillcrest has long been a home for the arts community and this year, CityFest will celebrate that!
With six distinct interactive art installations including pieces such as Shadows on the Wall, Human Animation, and Cartoon City, CityFest 2022 will be a celebration of the creativity inherent in the city.
New for 2022 CityFest will also feature an Art and Craft “ramble”.
In previous years, crafters and artists were all stacked together. This year, artists and performers, vendors, and attractions will be dispersed throughout the event all mixed together, inviting you to explore neighborhood businesses alongside exciting artists, creative food vendors, and unique crafters!
Stages & Entertainment
Hillcrest CityFest 2022 arts & music festival will have over 16 hours of live entertainment on two stages at the festival.
During the day, see performers of all manor, and as the sun goes down, you’ll find DJs spinning tunes at a massive all-ages dance party at 5th and Robinson.
A grand stage featuring live music and headliner bands will keep you entertained from noon until 7PM. They will be followed by headliner DJs and well-known local talent until 11PM.
Cocktails & Craft Brews
A celebration of urban life wouldn’t be complete without an excellent selection of craft beers and fun cocktails. Two cocktail bars and a beer garden, conveniently located close to the performance stages, will keep you hydrated. 😉
In addition, CityFest is home to many of Hillcrest finest dining and drinking establishments along 5th Avenue for delicious drinks or fun people watching.
